The Eurozone is an area in Europe that includes 19 member states of the European Union that have all agreed to using the Euro as a single currency. It was created in 1999 when 11 countries came together and agreed to use the single currency. Some of the most well know members of the Eurozone are; Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany and Ireland to name only a few.
The biggest stock market in the Eurozone is Euronext, which is a single pan-European market. It gives access to seven of the biggest stock markets across Europe. Including;
Euronext was formed in 2000 with the merging of three of the biggest stock exchanges in Europe (Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam). Over the next 20 years they have added Portuguese, Irish, Norwegian and Italian exchanges to make the biggest exchange in the Eurozone.

Some of the most notable stocks on the Euronext exchange are; Accor (EPA: AC), Airbus (ETA: AIR), Peugeot (EPA: PEUP), and Renault (EPA: RNO).
Some of the biggest stocks in Europe but not on Euronext are; Adidas (ETR: ADS) Mercedes Benz Group (ETR: MBG), and Porsche (FRA: PAH3).
